The older the ventilation system, the lower the efficiency
A mechanical ventilation system ensures that the air in your home is constantly refreshed. No dust, damp or draughts, just healthy air quality. A mechanical ventilation system is efficient and energy-saving, but technology never stands still. Replacing a mechanical ventilation system offers many benefits, especially for older models. Consider models that are more energy efficient and quieter. There are also additional options, such as a humidity sensor. This way, you no longer have to think about your ventilation system when you are showering or cooking.

Frequently asked questions

Why replace mechanical ventilation?
What gets used, wears out. With an MV box, this may be slow, but it does happen. Be alert to the following signs:
- Noise pollution. Your mechanical ventilation is going to produce more and more noise.
- Higher energy consumption. The older the ventilation system, the lower the efficiency.
- Reduced air quality. Fresh air is no longer a given.
Do you recognise one or more of these signals? Then replacing your MV box is a good idea! With a new ventilation box, you invest in better air quality while optimising your energy consumption. So you benefit immediately.

Mechanical ventilation serving with remote control
It's pretty well established by now and therefore not exactly an innovation, but very handy: a remote control. Do you still have an old model of mechanical ventilation without remote control? Then you will undoubtedly enjoy mechanical ventilation with a wireless remote control. Thanks to RFT technology, you can control your ventilation system from anywhere in the house. Convenience is good for you.

WTW replacing by mechanical ventilation
There may be several reasons to replace a heat recovery system (MVHR) with mechanical ventilation. For instance, the MVHR system may not provide enough oxygen to the indoor space, or, on the contrary, it may not remove enough moisture and/or pollution. Noise pollution can also be a reason to choose to replace MVHR with mechanical ventilation. Want to know what the best option is in your situation? Then contact us for ventilation advice.

Replacing mechanical ventilation yourself
Are you a handy DIY'er and don't shy away from a job? Are you considering mechanical ventilation replacement in-house? Know what you're getting into. Replacing a ventilation system is skilled work. It is a technically complex task that is preferably carried out by a certified installer with specific knowledge and skills. It is not advisable to do it yourself.

When is a mechanical ventilation system due for replacement?
Is the mechanical ventilation system making more noise than you are used to? Is your energy bill slowly but surely rising? Or are you suffering from 'vague' symptoms such as headaches, sore throats or colds? Don't ignore these signs and investigate. It's probably time to replace your mechanical ventilation system. No indoor climate problems, but an installation that is 15 years old or older? Then it makes sense to replace the mechanical ventilation, as new models are much more energy efficient and operate more quietly.
Advantages of replacing a mechanical ventilation
Clean air, more peace of mind and a lower energy bill: by replacing your residential fan, you get all sorts of immediate benefits. Dust mites, mould, damp and bacteria are all removed, improving your health. Energy bills are also reduced, as a new ventilation system is much more economical than an outdated +/- 15 year old model! Noise pollution is also reduced, as a new model is almost impossible to hear. Unobtrusive, but very effective.
