Fire dampers

A fire damper can be installed in a ventilation system to prevent fire and smoke from spreading through the ductwork.

Intovent offers two types of fire dampers: butterfly dampers and circular dampers. When the temperature in the duct rises above 72°C, the fusible link of the damper blade(s) pops off to temporarily block smoke and flames.

Fire dampers are installed where ventilation ducts pass through fire-rated compartment walls and in accordance with the installation instructions. The dampers are placed in a spiro tube of the same diameter and sealed with a rubber ring (SAFE). They ensure the fire resistance of compartment boundaries and smoke density. Fire dampers are characterised by their fire resistance, aerodynamic properties and ease of installation. All fire dampers at Intovent are CE marked to guarantee quality.
